BMK96 resin: a key tool for deep potassium removal from lithium-containing mother liquor

In the production of lithium battery materials, excessive potassium ions in lithium-containing mother liquors are a key risk affecting product performance. A lithium battery material company, after introducing BMK96, a specialized potassium adsorption resin, successfully achieved deep potassium removal from lithium-containing mother liquors, laying a solid foundation for the production of high-quality lithium battery materials.

BMK96, a spherical particle adsorption material with a porous polystyrene hybrid structure, offers unique technical advantages: its precisely controlled micro-nanopore size allows for the free passage of lithium and potassium ions, while its coupled hybrid sulfonic acid functional groups provide optimal selective adsorption for potassium ions. After lithium pretreatment, the resin efficiently captures potassium ions from the mother liquor while maximizing lithium ion retention.

In actual application, potassium ions are targetedly adsorbed as lithium-containing mother liquor flows through the BMK96 resin adsorption column. The potassium content in the mother liquor, which reached 85 mg/L before treatment, was reduced to below 0.5 mg/L after treatment, fully meeting the requirements for electronic-grade lithium products.

BMK96 resin offers significant core advantages:

1. High potassium adsorption capacity.

2. Environmentally friendly properties ensure no impurities are introduced, meeting electronic-grade material standards.

3. Excellent mechanical strength makes it resistant to breakage during repeated regeneration, extending its service life.

4. Uniform particle size design reduces operating resistance and reduces equipment energy consumption.
