Phosphorus removal from municipal sewage

Phosphorus removal from municipal sewage is an important part of the sewage treatment process.

Phosphorus is one of the key factors causing eutrophication of water bodies. When a large amount of phosphorus-containing sewage is discharged into the water body, it will cause the algae and other plankton in the water body to multiply in large numbers. The dissolved oxygen content in the water body will decrease, causing the death of aquatic organisms such as fish.In order to protect the water environment, the state and local governments have strict regulations on the phosphorus discharge standards for municipal sewage. For example, in many areas, the total phosphorus concentration of sewage discharged into surface water is required to be controlled below 0.5mg/L. In some areas with higher water quality requirements, this standard may be more stringent. This makes phosphorus removal from municipal sewage a necessary task for sewage treatment plants.

Jinshan JK-P is a product for the removal of inorganic phosphorus, including phosphate, phosphite, hydrogen phosphate, dihydrogen phosphate, etc. The inorganic phosphorus in the wastewater treated by JK-P can be completely removed. If it contains organic phosphorus, the AB103 resin produced by Bojie can be used to try to remove it.

Application case:

The landscape water in a city park is polluted by the surrounding domestic sewage and rainwater runoff. The phosphorus content in the water exceeds the standard, and algae grow, affecting the landscape effect.Since the phosphorus concentration of the landscape water is relatively low, the total phosphorus concentration of the inlet water is about 0.5-1mg/L. After JK-P treatment, the total phosphorus concentration of the effluent is reduced to below 0.1mg/L, which improves the water quality of the landscape water, inhibits the growth of algae, and significantly improves the transparency of the water.
